What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account.
Instead of relying only on your password, 2FA requires something you know (your password) and something you have (a temporary code generated on your phone).
Even if someone steals your password, they still cannot access your account without that second factor.
Bottom line: 2FA dramatically reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
How It Works
- You log in with your email and password
- You are asked for a one-time code
- That code is generated by an app on your phone
- Codes change every 30 seconds and can only be used once
Recommended Authenticator Apps
We recommend using one of the following free and widely trusted authenticator apps:
All of these apps securely generate 2FA codes and are widely used across banking, healthcare, and enterprise systems.
Important Notes
- Keep your phone secure. Anyone with access to your device may be able to generate your codes.
- If you change phones, follow the app’s backup or transfer process before deleting the old device.
- Our support team cannot see or retrieve your 2FA codes.
